The first thing on your mind is to find out the most fertile days when you are planning to conceive. Knowing your ovulation days increases the chances of getting pregnant faster. It is not that easy to predict the exact date but it usually happens between 12-14 days before your next menstrual cycle begins. During your monthly periods, some of the eggs get released from the ovaries after getting matured. One of the ripest eggs gets discharged and travels down the fallopian tubes. If available the completely matured egg meets the sperm and gets fertilized there. The woman is considered most fertile during her ovulation days.
If a woman has passionate sexual intercourse with her partner during the ovulation phase, the chances of getting pregnant are quite high. Your ovulation does get affected by unnecessary stress, poor lifestyle, unhealthy/improper diet, and strenuous workouts. You can have an estimate of your ovulation days with the help of these 5 ideas:
Standard days method/Calendar method- If your menstrual cycle is regular then you can easily count back 14 days from your next monthly periods and those 4-5 days will be your most fertile days (fertile window). The calculation is easy and simple but can’t be accurate.
Ovulation predictor kit- You can buy the ovulation kit from a pharmacist nearby and all you need to do is just pee on the stick available in the kit. The indicator will tell you whether you’re about to ovulate or no. The test can be done by checking the urine and saliva. To detect the surge in LH the ovulation kit is ninety-nine percent accurate. The saliva test will indicate the rise in estrogen levels. No kit can guarantee you the ovulation still you can have a clue of the ovulation phase.
Track your temperature- You must monitor your basal body temperature (BBT) and keep a track record of it. This method requires a lot of patience and time because as soon as you wake up and open your eyes the first thing you have to do is to check your body temperature. Before you talk, sit-up, or step out of the bed your body temperature will be the base reading for further calculations. The body temperature will reach its lowest during ovulation and will immediately rise as soon as ovulation occurs.
Listen to your body- If you experience the middle pain- like a series of cramping in your abdominal area then you must pay close attention.
Get to know your cervix- With the help of your one or two fingers, you can check if the cervix is firm and closed because during ovulation it’ll open a bit and the mucus also changes. You can notice the discharge and keep a record of it in your mind.
